I got my last relaxer in May of 2011. The touch-up before took out some of my hairline and plus I was afraid the perm would eventually leave me bald. I took the plunge and began caring for my own hair. This stuff drove me nuts. I quickly turned to the help of curlformers to help me control it without too much heat, as I am not proficient with heat tools.
I never executed perfect hair, but I got it clean. After a while, I couldn't take it anymore and ran to the nearest shop around. I've been getting it pressed since. April of 2013, I cut the remainder of the relaxed ends off. It may not have been the smartest move since I plan to resume a rigorous workout, but it's hair. It will eventually grow back...I hope:-)
